ॐ तत्सत ||

If we look at the grand festival of Deepavali (Diwali), we shall know that

  • Vaak Dvadashi (12th lunar day) is associated with speech or Saraswati Puja or Cow Puja.
  • Dhanvantari Trayodashi (13th lunar day) is associated with wealth, prosperity, health and Lakshmi Puja or the birth of Dhanvantari Dev (God of Ayurveda).
  • Kali Chaturdashi (14th lunar day)  is one of the three main nights of the year (Maha Shivratri, Krishna Janmashtami being the other two nights) which are associated with mantra and yoga practices.
  • Deepavali/Diwali (The new moon) is the night of joy and bliss.

If we look from the spiritual point of view, we will see the very simple and practical form of Navarna Mantra in Deepavali.

Navarna Mantra – Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vichche

Aim – “sat” is the symbol of Mahasaraswati. “Sat” means knowledge or transcendental knowledge.

Hreem – “chit” is the symbol of Mahalakshmi. “Chit” means existence of the world or the primary form and behavior of the world.

Kleem – “Anand” is the symbol of Mahakali. Anand means attainment of the original form that is bliss.

If the seeker attains Sat-Chit-Anand, s/he shall attain Parabrahman, which is a boon of Parashakti.

Happy Deepavali to all of you! May Maa Jagadamba bless you all with this boon and knowledge and that is our prayer!
